Give or Receive a Wheelchair or Wheelchair Equipment

Wheelchair Foundation currently delivers wheelchairs in containers of 280 wheelchairs to several countries outside of the USA.

However, due to the extraordinary expense associated with domestic and international shipping, customs clearance and delivery logistics, Wheelchair Foundation does not fulfill requests for the distribution of individual wheelchairs. We regret that we are unable to fulfill such requests, but due to financial restraints, it is not possible to deliver wheelchairs to individual recipients.

There are, however, several organizations that help to give and receive wheelchair equipment. Organizations that accept wheelchair equipment donations typically attempt to identify recipients and match them with the donated equipment they have received.

Listed are several organizations that receive donations of used wheelchair equipment and then attempt to identify recipients to match with the donated equipment. They typically operate in regional areas, and usually have difficulty getting wheelchairs to people outside of their areas of operations because of the large costs associated with transporting wheelchair equipment.
