Rosa Emilia Santos

Rosa is a 5 year old girl who lives with her mother in a small town approximately 20 miles from San Salvador. Rosa is paralyzed from the waist down due to a spinal condition. She has had back surgery but to date, there is no improvement in her condition. Her mother supports Rosa and her 11 year old brother by working in an outdoor market where they sell water and soda. This is the first wheelchair Rosa has had. She never stopped smiling throughout the distribution ceremony.
