Tyson Elementary students do it again!
Springdale, Arkansas
June 09, 2009
For the fourth consecutive year in a row, the student body of Tyson Elementary School in Springdale, Arkansas, U.S.A. has presented Wheelchair Foundation with a check for nearly $7,000!
Teacher Cathy Crouch and the faculty of Tyson Elementary School continue to encourage their students to understand the importance of doing something to help others in their community and around the world. Students earn money throughout the year by performing services, doing chores around their homes, and within the community.
Students make the final decision about how their earned money should be donated, so they gain a sense of responsibility and value the impact of their financial gift. Tyson Elementary has raised enough money in the past four years to sponsor nearly 300 wheelchairs to people in need all over the world.
